Great Meeting on February 22nd

Italian Dinner Meeting

Guest Speaker: Rev. Dan Prout

President of Sierra Ministries International

“A NATION BLESSED ~ Tracing the Christian Foundations of the United States of America”

Our Italian Dinner Meeting on February 22nd featuring Rev. Dan Prout was a huge success with over 118 in attendance. Dan gave an interesting and sometime humorous presentation filled with little known facts about our Founders and the beginnings of our country.

We were graced with many attendees who were not necessarily "Tea Party" people and conversations at each table were civil, interesting, informative and enjoyable.   Everyone we met was so interested and involved with what Dan shared with us that it was truly uplifting.

Dan started the meeting off with Wyatt Newman, an 8th grader and son of new County Dept.of Ed board member Ashley Newman, reciting the preamble to the Constitution which received an extended round of applause.  All in all it was a great presentation and a great evening.

In case you were not able to attend we did video it and are hoping to post it on the Nevada Co. Tea Party website.  This may take us a bit of time as none of us knows exactly how to do this, but we are working on it.  We would also say anytime you have the opportunity to hear Dan speak on this subject do your best to attend and hear it in person.

We would like to thank the Nevada County Republican Women for loaning us their beautiful table center pieces and Bob Hren the new Chairman of the Nevada County Republican Party for the loan of "President Donald Trump" cut out.

The team that was in charge of the dinner, headed up by Cheryl Heward, did an amazing job, we thank each and everyone of them (Sue McGuire, Robert Campbell, Cheryl, Ted, Claudia Taylor).

We also want to thank Irene Travis for so efficiently getting name badges to the regular members and name tags for guests; Eddie Garcia and others for selling tickets for our gun raffle on the 29th and running the slideshow for Dan; Ted for assisting in all the technical aspects that came up; the staff of the Event Center for graciously responding to any issues that arose; Don and Eddie for helping with the setup and to everyone who pitched in to restore order and help with clean up after the event; and last but not least, to all who helped with the food preparation (Cheryl, Sue, Claudia, Fran, Denise, Robert, Don). We would also like to thank Grace Collins for helping with getting books, flyers and DVDs to each table. She did a great job! What amazing group of people we have in the tea party.

Good Job Everyone!
